Field Service Project (FSP4003)

The FSP is a team-based project course for Business School Honours students only.

Students partner with established organisations in Singapore, including businesses, social enterprises, and non-profits. The aim is to gain hands-on experience in business operations, strategy, and leadership.
Students learn about each organisation’s business model, value propositions, and operations while observing entrepreneurial leadership from CEOs and senior leaders. In return, students will provide diagnostic reports with actionable recommendations to help these organisations navigate current business challenges.

Students work directly with leaders and engage with real-world business challenges beyond the classroom, The course also serves as a networking platform, connecting students with professionals from diverse industries and expertise areas.

The Enterprise 50 (E50) Awards are jointly organised annually by The Business Times and KPMG to recognise and reward the 50 most enterprising local SMEs across all industry sectors. It is sponsored by OCBC Bank and supported by IDA, IE Singapore and Spring Singapore.

Since 2009, NUS Business School has partnered with E50 organisers to offer BBA honours students the opportunity to work with award-winning companies.

Students study each company’s business model, operations, and leadership, then produce profile articles and in-depth consulting reports with recommendations. These reports are formally presented to CEOs and senior management teams.

Student articles have been featured in The Business Times, including (accessible via Business Times subscription):
