Student Experience

In addition to the regular semester Student Exchange Programme, students can also participate in the Summer/Winter Programmes to gain international exposure. The Summer Programmes will take place during the school vacation from middle of May to late July. The Winter Programmes will take place in December.

Application

From February each year, emails will be sent to business students who are eligible to apply for the Summer Programmes administered by NUS Business School.

Students can also check out the NUS Global Website regularly for instructions on how to apply for each Summer/Winter Programme administered by NUS Global.

 

Important Notes

  1. NUS Business School does not support programmes that extend into the new academic semester; LOA will not be approved for such cases.
  2. Students in their final semester of their degree are not eligible for Summer/Winter Programmes.
  3. To be eligible for credit transfer,
    • the programmes take place in person; online/hybrid programmes do not qualify for credit transfer.
    • course must be mapped to a NUS course
    • course taken must be graded, not on pass/fail basis.
  4. Course mapping does not equate to credit transfer.
  5. For foreign BBA/BAC students planning to join the Summer/Winter programmes to fulfil GIS or GEM, participation in your home country will not count towards the graduation requirement. Refer to the GIS/GEM Infopage for details.

 

Credit Transfer for Summer/Winter Programme Courses

With effect from AY2025/2026, students may transfer credit of up to a maximum of 10 units for each summer programme and up to a maximum of 5 units for each winter programme. Course mapping will be subject to approval from the respective Faculties/Schools.

A total of 12 Units from a maximum of 2 Summer/Winter Programmes may be transferred without having to pay NUS tuition fees. Additional units mapped will be subject to special term fees.

After completing the Summer/Winter Programme, students are to submit their official transcript to the Student Exchange Team by 15 April or 15 October for credit transfer processing.

Similar to the Student Exchange Programme, courses taken during the Summer/Winter Programmes must be graded even though they are not considered for computation into the GPA.

Students are to take note that credit transfer is only allowed for Summer/Winter Programmes administered by NUS (Business School, GRO, or other NUS faculties). Credit transfer is not permitted for programmes not administered by NUS.
