About Global Experience Milestone

The objective of the Global Experience Milestone (GEM) is to expose BIZ students to foreign countries and experience different academic, work, social and/or cultural environments. GEM aligns with Singapore’s positioning as a global/regional business hub in which more future job roles will be regional or international in nature.

To complete the GEM, the student needs to complete a significant and approved overseas experience. The minimum will be a 5-day study trip with deliverables. Students can fulfil their GEM requirements through various options, including, but not limited to, Student Exchange Programme, Summer/Winter Programmes, Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative, and NUS Overseas College. Other alternatives include overseas internships, overseas community projects, overseas competitions, etc.
